  • Why should I use IWashRugs?

    IWashRugs uses a proprietary, sophisticated cleaning process - unlike any other rug cleaning companies - which can get your rugs back to almost new condition.  Standard steam cleans can only partially clean your rugs.  Our cleaning process is far superior.

  • What types of rugs can you clean?

    We can clean any type of rug.  Natural fibres or artificial.  Our rug cleaning process is gentle enough for the finest weaves, but  thorough enough to clean even the heaviest of duty rugs.  If you're concerned, give us a call and we can tell you a bit more.  We clean Oriental rugs - Persian, Egyptian, Turkish, Indian, Wool and Cotton, Silk, Natural plant fibre rugs, Fur - sheepskin, bearskin and cowhide, Antique and delicate rugs.  We clean rugs that others won't.


  • Can you clean rugs onsite?

    We cannot provide deep cleaning for rugs on-site. Visit Advanced Floor Care to find out more about our on-site steam cleaning for rugs.

  • Do you offer rug pickup and delivery?

    Yes, we do.  Don't try and cram your rug into the back seat and risk damaging it.  Let us come and pick it up, clean it and drop it back to you once nice and dry. Travel fees may apply.

  • My rug is very delicate. How do you clean it?

    With any delicate rugs, we modify our cleaning process to ensure that no damage is done.  Our rug cleaning bath is ideal for low impact cleaning.

  • Do you provide other Floor Cleaning services?

    Yes, we also steam clean carpets, advanced stain treatments, tiles and upholstery cleans. For more information, please refer to Advanced Floor Care.

  • What is your normal turn around time?

    Our normal rug cleaning turn around time ranges from 7 - 10 days, depending on the type of rug and the nature of the service.

  • My rug is heavily stained. Can it be cleaned?

    Our honest answer is, probably.  Most stains can be removed, but depending on the fibre and the type of stain, it may not be possible to remove the stain without damaging the rug.  We will appraise the situation and let you know if we dont think the stain can be removed.

  • Will your machinery damage my rug?

    No.  We modify our rug cleaning process to accommodate the type of rug and which fibre it's made from.  Your rug is perfectly safe with us.

  • My rug stinks! Can you remove odours?

    We can get the majority of odours out but a small amount may remain if the rug is extremely soiled. A rug may require a second submerge and soak in extreme cases.

  • Do you Deep Clean or Steam Clean rugs?

    We do both but specialize in deep cleans, a specialised cleaning process that is more effective for cleaning rugs. In the rare occasion a steam clean is preferred, please refer to Advanced Floor Care for more information to book a steam clean.

  • What is the difference between a Steam clean and Deep clean?

    A deep clean is a specialized process that washes rugs in detail and restores the rug to near new condition. Steam cleans are more of a surface-level clean that is ideal for convenience and budget requirements, which can be done in a customers home.
